His Promise....

"God doesn't promise to save us from trials. In fact He promises trials, but in those trials He gives us "more than a victory because of Christ who loves us" (Romans 8:37). Then we are stronger than before, just as muscles are made strong by exercise."
(The Promise Bible ~based on Daniel 3:1-30)

"They came out, and the king's high officials, governors, and advisors all crowded around them. The men were not burned, their hair wasn't scorched, and their clothes did not even smell like smoke." Daniel 3:27

Yesterday Gabriella saw her specialist and then was sent for her ultrasound because they thought kidney stones were causing the blood in her urine. There was one radiologist in the room and she started the procedure and after a couple minutes of looking at her kidney asked me why Gabriella's doctor referred her. Everything proceeded on for a bit but I just had this feeling like something wasn't quite right. Then she called another radiologist in and she said she was just going to take two pictures but instead she ended up doing everything and a bit more than the first lady. At this point they were pointing at the screen and whispering to one another. I knew something was wrong. They asked me to wait while they talked with the Dr. and so I grabbed Gabriella's hands and we just prayed. When they returned they said the Dr. would be calling us back with the results. And she did, first thing this morning. Her first words were "it's not good news." I will be vague because I do not know exactly what we are dealing with yet. Apparently, the Dr. feels Gabriella has some type of kidney disease as well. She was already in touch with the kidney specialists in Hershey to arrange an appointment for Gabriella.
My sweet little girl. How my heart aches for all the pain she has been through in her young life already. She is one tough cookie and she has ATTITUDE but I'm sure much of that is a result of the pain.

Today, Gabriella saw the eye specialist and it looks like her vision is minimal in her left eye. She will be wearing glasses and perhaps a patch at some point because her one eye drifts to the corner at times. I was surprised her vision was that bad and can't wait until she can see clear. A whole new world will open before her.

Sometimes we feel we are living in the fire of trials but God promises He is there with us, protecting us, carrying us and making us stronger than before. What satan intends to harm us with God already has it all figured out and guess what?! Because we are in Christ, we already have the victory. We WIN!! Gabriella has the best specialist in the world...Dr. Jesus. We, of course, continue to pray healing over her entire body and know God can heal her in a moment, if He chooses. Until that time, we ask for continued prayers for Gabriella, wisdom for the Drs. and strength for our family as we continue to walk through these fiery trials.
God is good, all the time......
