Ok, So....

What do you get when you take one woman who wants a swimming pool and finds one for an unbelievable price + a mountain?? One tired hubby!

Our mountain does not afford us much flat areas. So, we had to cut down trees (5 to be exact!), dig out dirt from the side of the hill, and haul in 16 tons of sand! At this point, the pool still isn't up. My poor hubby had no idea how big this project would be or maybe he did and that's why he's said no to the idea for years. :) He's such a trooper. We told him he could have the first swim in the pool. :) We are just hoping we can get it in and usable before Labor Day! LOL!
It's been a family project the whole way around. Of course, some of us have put more elbow grease into it than others, like Nolan for instance. He has been on hand to help daddy measure the circumference of the pool with this handy rope. He has also used his toy shovel to help dig and his hands to help rake. Now that's dedication for you! LOL! I think he's anxious to swim. :) We've learned how to use a Transit, a backhoe, and that 16 tons of sand sounds like alot but really isn't. We've learned that mostly what we have here are rocks, and LOTS of them. But what I've been reminded of time and again as I watch Sean work hard all day in the hot sun and then come home to work hard all night on this pool project is just how much he loves us. He could care less about this pool, it's the people that can't wait to swim in this pool that motivate him and he keeps plugging away. So, here's to the summer sun and a backyard swimming pool....hopefully soon! LOL!

I, too, live in the mountains. I have some pictures of those mountains in a recent post. If you get a chance, scroll back through my blog.

Blessings to you and your beautiful family. I hope you get to enjoy that pool! :-)
