Pumpkin Patch....

Today I took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch. Although the weather wasn't the greatest they still had a blast! There were 2 straw mazes and since we were the only ones there the kids ran through them again and again and again. LOL! Even Nolan had to get in on the act. At first he was hesitant to go in but after watching the others go in and come out a couple of times he felt brave enough to try it. And then he didn't want my hand he wanted to do it all by himself. :) He laughed and laughed as he chased the little's and they chased him. Kyalynn immediately went up to the scarecrow and had to give him a hug and a kiss. I wasn't fast enough to catch the kiss (trust me you have to be lightning fast to catch this girl with a camera!) but did manage to get the hug. Then of course, Gabriella had to get her picture taken doing the same thing. :) The last one of Kyalynn is priceless to me. It is so hard to ever catch her smiling or laughing on camera. (see above! LOL!) so this one was right in the moment of pure bliss and I FINALLY caught it. Yeah mommy!!

So our family chooses not to celebrate Halloween but that doesn't mean we don't celebrate. We celebrate family and the autumn season with our own Harvest Party each year. We went to the patch today to pick out our pumpkins. This year we bought 10! We had to buy 2 for our "girls", Zack and Ryan's girlfriends, Ericka and Hannah. How cool is that?! I just love when our family gets bigger! :)

Kyalynn chose a baby pumpkin as did Nolan. Gabriella and Connor picked the next size up. We always buy Sean a BIG DADDY pumpkin  and the kids love looking over each one to find just the right one for him. When we went to pay, the cashier gave each of the little's a free Fuji apple (BIG YUM!) They were so excited and held them in their hands the whole ways home. They couldn't wait to eat them with their lunches and I loved hearing the crunching as they enjoyed them. :)

Aaahhh! The goodness of God's creation...amazing, ain't it?!

Now on to the planning of our party....
