Prayer requests...

Please pray with me for my dear friend Crispy. They have just returned from Ethiopia with their two precious sons. Pray for smooth transitions, health and deep bonding.

Please pray for Julie and her family. Her sweet son just lost his fight with cancer and is now running with Jesus. Please lift this family up as they grieve and heal in the coming weeks and months.

Baby I is headed for surgery bright and early tomorrow. Please pray for wisdom for the surgeon and God's hands to direct them each step and quick healing and recovery for this precious lamb of God.

The Salzwedel family is still waiting for their precious daughter to come home from Ghana. It has been an incredibly hard journey and they are aching to hold her in their arms forever. Please visit Stephanie and leave her some love and pray for God to intervene and bring Mercy home SOON!

Please pray for Marsha. This young woman is fighting for her life. She has two young children and a husband asking for you to pray that God wo…

I'm Just Saying...

So Sean and I have been discussing some major life changes now for several weeks. Actually, if you want to get right down to it, I've been doing most of the talking and Sean is more the listener. LOL! I guess if you want me to be real honest you could (possibly) say that I've been right on the edge of nagging because we've discussed these issues every which way but loose. :) However, last night I decided (after God umm, clarified to me that He has it all under control!) that I would not bring up these issues again and just wait for Sean to feel ready to venture forth. When you are a person of great passion and vision this is not an easy step! LOL!

I don't know what I was worried about. God's purpose and vision will not be swayed and nobody or nothing will stop what He has ordered! I just like to speed up the process a bit I guess. Well God met Sean today at church through the sermon and can you guess what He spoke to his heart?! Yep! Exactly what we've been dis…

Pajama Day....

I decided to declare today "Pajama Day"! The kids are so excited to wear their pajamas all day. Truth is, I don't have the laundry done yet and so that works for me. LOL!
Look at these cherubs. They are my precious gifts from the hand of God! My Three Musketeers!! :)

It's Happening Again...

Another son is driving! How can this be?! I am NOT that old! LOL! Ryan has become our chauffeur- happily going away with us just so he can drive.  He spent most of the day digging out his vehicle. It was COMPLETELY covered by our last snow storm! Then much to his dismay, he heard they are predicting more snow tonight. GEESH! You'd think it's winter or something. :)

I've been thinking that after Ryan graduates and moves on with life, we won't have a young driver again for 9 years!! Then it will be steady chauffeuring for many years straight in a row. LOL!

"on the road again, I just can't wait to get on the road again"....Ryan's new theme song. LOL!

So if you see a hunking big Suburban full of little's, a terrified mom in the passenger seat (just kidding Ryan!), and a handsome young man behind the wheel, give us a honk and we'll be sure to wave. (Not Ryan though because he should ALWAYS have both hands on the wheel!) :)

A Precious Sight...

My boy reading his Bible all on his own. Actually, when I tell them to get books to read he usually runs to get his Bible. Now I'm not going to brag (too much!) but the one child that rocked our world to the core is also the child that amazes us with his knowledge of bible stories, all the scriptures he knows and the fact he "gets" the truth that God loves him no matter what! Hello! I'm 38 years old and STILL struggle with "getting" how much God loves me. All this to say, no wonder satan has fought so hard to keep this boy down, to ruin our lives, to want to cause us to give up on Connor. BUT GOD! We have quoted Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalms 139 over this boy for years. He especially loves the verse from Psalms 139
"how precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake I am still with you." Psalms 139:17-18
The first time I read this to him he cried. Not jus…

A Boy and his Ted...

Nolan's best buddies...his Pooh blanket, Socks (the monkey we made him last Christmas), and Ted (bear from grandpa and grandma). He carries ALL of them with him most of the day! It's quite an armful to cuddle him and his buds! LOL!

And this pic is just of my precious boy eating. We cover him with a tea towel but he is usually always covered with his meal. Oh well, he's a great eater so we won't complain. However, the laundry has increased quite a bit. LOL!

I'm a little bit of sunshine....

At least my buddy Dana thinks so! She just awarded me this Sunshine Award. How cool is that?! Here are the rules: 1. Post picture on your blog or in your post.  2. Link to the person who gave you the award.  3. Spread the sunshine to 12 blogs.
1. My dear friend Tereasa is an amazing woman of God. She always has a positive, upbeat spirit despite living with chronic pain for years. She and her husband are in the process of stepping out in faith, yet again, to move across country and fulfill one of their dreams. You go girl!!
2. Steffany is one of those get 'er done women. :) I believe we may have been separated at birth (LOL!) because we both are visionaries desiring everything God has for us in our lives. She has some big dreams that are all about reaching out, serving and bettering people's lives. She has a tenacity I truly admire!
3. Christine has been blessed over and over again with precious children. I do believe God really trusts her and her husband alot to keep calling them t…

Same Kind of Different As Me...

I've had this book for awhile now but just picked it up to read a couple days ago. I wasn't sure at first but by the middle I was hooked! The story is about how a homeless man from Red River Parish in Louisiana and a rich art dealer meet up and become friends. It's all about reaching out and making a difference in someone's life. The ripple effect is farther reaching than we can even imagine! Denver, the homeless man, has so much wisdom and faith. I just loved what he had to say and his humbleness and willingness to serve others. Here is a nugget of gold from the book:  "There's something I learned when I was homeless: Our limitation is God's opportunity. When you get all the way to the end of your rope and there ain't nothing you can do, that's when God takes over. "
Can I get an Amen?! I'm sure we all have stories that would testify to that truth and ain't we glad that He doesn't leave us hanging?! If you are in a difficult place …

Blessed, Stressed and Impressed...(My Weekend Wrap)

Blessed: God bought us Pizza!! :)
Sean's parents visited us on Saturday and they blessed us by allowing Sean and I to take a bit of time away from the kids. Since I haven't had a good piece of pizza since starting the GF/CF diet we opted for Pizza Hut. Woo-Hoo!! There were only a couple of tables filled and we ordered right away thinking we'd have time to run to the grocery store before heading home. Sean and I had a wonderful time together just talking about the kids, planning how to handle certain situations, etc. when Sean looks at his watch and says why is it taking so long? Our waitress never returned to our table during the whole wait and so Sean flagged down a guy to check on our pizza. He returns saying he's sorry and the pizza will be free. How nice is that?! So finally the waitress returns and says they lost our pizza. What?! So they remade us another one and just put it in the oven it will be done in 10 minutes. So we waited (more than 10 minutes). The long l…

Celebration of Love Party...

We've started a new tradition this year with having a "Celebration of Love" party for the little's. We spent most of the day yesterday decorating, cleaning and preparing. We wanted to celebrate love...God's love for us...our love for one another...and our love for others.

We had dancing...

Praise and worship time....

Communion...
Foot Washing...

Even Nolan is learning how to wash his siblings feet....

Sean chose to do something different this year and purchase a small "special" gift for his daughters. Eventually, the gifts will be a bit more meaningful but at this point the gifts he chose delighted them and fit each of them perfectly. He bought Gabriella a Tinkerbelle dress and a couple of fish for Kyalynn. Thank you God for great daddies!!
Gabriella modelling her special gift from daddy!

Our precious treasures....

GF/CF...

I want to be very clear up front that although we have seen huge progress in the little's this diet is not a miracle cure. Yes, many, many children have benefitted from this but just as many haven't. Kyalynn's ability to use sentences and proper grammar is increasing but she is still autistic. Connor's behaviors are improving but he still has bad days (don't we all!) I'm just saying this because I don't want you to begin this diet thinking THIS IS IT! THIS DIET WILL COMPLETELY HEAL MY CHILD. I do believe it could help but honestly, the only one that can completely heal your child is GOD!
We felt like this was just one more step we could take on this journey with the little's to bring (hopefully) another layer of healing. Kind of like the layers of an onion. As I mentioned in another post, we also started doing chelation therapy with Kyalynn. We are using Bentonite Clay baths once per week with her. I did not do the heavy metal testing I just implemented…

Hey Tereasa....

Got the phone bill and......EEEK! LOL!
My boys got a kick out of the fact that their dad was going after me instead of them for phone charges. :)
It was sooo nice talking to you and let's do it again soon but umm, could you call me? LOL!

Where Have I Been?....

Well for one thing my computer is dead but hopefully sometime this week I will be back up and running. I am currently using Sean's work laptop and it doesn't like me very much. LOL! It fights with me alot and after a full day the last thing I want to do is fight with an inanimate object. :)
However, life here has been busier than usual. Let me explain....

Zachary found a Jeep to buy and had planned to pick it up last weekend but then a snowstorm came through and we decided it best not to travel that far in the weather. We planned to go this weekend instead. Well, Zachary came home from work Monday night and said that the guy who owned the Jeep called him and said there was another big snowstorm coming starting on Friday. Zack decided he would just go down the next day(Tuesday) and pick it up. I said "sure, I'm up for a roadtrip!" Sean rearranged some prescheduled work things and we were off at 6 am (groan!). We made great time (Sean was driving. LOL!) and were ab…

What's Your Excuse?....

Amy, from www.buildingtheblocks.blogspot.com just posted another outstanding, thought-provoking, heart-grabbing, TRUTH-telling, post on her blog.

I was going to copy it here but Sean's virus-infected computer is NOT cooperating. Please go read it. Please. It's that important!

Maybe God is speaking to you but your excuses keep coming hard and fast. Today, during Bible time the little's and I were reading about Moses. When God called him to go to Egypt and free the Israelites he made excuse, after excuse after excuse as to why he wasn't the "right" man for the job. At one point, it says God became angry with Moses because of all the excuses he kept making. It made me think....what excuses do I keep throwing out to God? And why?! I mean, c'mon Lisa, it really all boils down to two things.....trust and obey! If God is calling me to do something or go somewhere than I need to TRUST Him that He has the best plans for me and then OBEY Him. After all, that is w…
