Rejoice With Me....

God ALWAYS does His best work when things look impossible.  For over a year we have been praying sweet Mercy girl HOME from Ghana.
After enormous amounts of delays, situations, and problems beyond belief,  just when it seemed it was not ever going to happen,  GOD showed up and SHOWED OFF!! I LOVE it when He does that!!
Stephanie leaves this Friday  to fly to Ghana  and get her girl. Saturday, Mercy will be where she belongs... in her momma's arms!!

Join us in praising the One who never fails and please continue to pray them safely home. If you want to follow along on the journey to Ghana you can read here
Sweet Father, thank you for this answered prayer. Thank you for bringing Mercy home. Thank you for providing for all their financial needs and for moving mountains, crossing deserts, and overturning every stone to bring another orphan to their forever family.

Possibility?!

We have learned of a situation for a sweet babe born last week needing a family. He is still waiting and that just breaks my heart! He is African American and there are potential health concerns that have hindered him from finding his family. After much discussion with the agency, and prayer tonight, Sean and I have decided we'd like to commit to loving this little one for the rest of his life. Since we just mailed out our fundraising letters this week we have nothing stockpiled yet to adopt with. I'd hate to think that some greenbacks could stand in the way of this little one having a forever family!! The urgency to find him a forever family is real as he has already waited too long!
So...would you help us, for his future??

I Am Not Surprised....

I am not surprised that Kyalynn has been having an off week this week and is really wearing me down.
I am not surprised that I can't seem to stay focused on the gazillion things that need accomplished in a day.
I am not surprised that we haven't been able to sell our first batch of baby bunnies and have already been hit with a second batch of babies! (I know the saying "breed like rabbits" but had no idea she could conceive the same day she gave birth!!)
Mama Mia
I am not surprised that it seems like one thing after another keeps happening.
I am not surprised that the hospital is fighting the insurance company over Zachary's tests done the day he was in a head-on collision. (Back in December!)
I am not surprised.......
Why am I not surprised? Because we knew this would happen. Yesterday we mailed out letters to begin fundraising for another adoption and s*tanis NOT happy.  He will try everything and anything to prevent another child from being placed into a Christia…

Wearing Of the Green...

My sweet little Leprechauns dressed in their obligatory green. :)

We are not Irish but wanting to create as many happy memories as possible this has always been a day of celebration in our home since the oldest were very young. I have oodles of pictures through the years of Zachary and Ryan eating green food, wearing shamrocks, and reading all about St. Patrick. We always start the day with green eggs (see above) and below you will see each child's response.
Gabriella not enjoying her green eggs and ham! LOL! She was allowed to pass on the eggs and have cereal and that made her happy.
Connor gave his green eggs a thumbs up and a "can I have more mom?"
Nolan wasn't the least bit bothered by the color and couldn't get them into his mouth fast enough!
Kyalynn didn't respond one way or another. When she first saw the eggs she did say "oh, what color? They're  green!" LOL!
We followed the tasty breakfast with a reading of  one of our favorite books. It …

What Joy Looks Like...

The Map ~ The Way of All Great Men by David Murrow...

Recently I signed up with Book Sneeze as part of their book reviewer bloggers program. Thomas Nelson has provided me with a complimentary copy of the above book to read and share my opinions about on my blog. How cool is that?!
Upon reading the summary of the book listed on their webpage I knew this was the one I wanted to review. I have never heard of David Murrow nor of his previous bestseller "Why Men Hate Going To Church". To be honest, this book was written for men so why was I anxious to read it? Because through the years I have read countless books on how men think, behave, interact and become so I could have a working knowledge on how to train and guide our sons in a way they could relate to and understand. We often would spend time each school day reading aloud and discussing sections from these books. So this book caught my eye and I am so glad it did!  This book is divided into three sections: Part One: The Discovery, Part Two: The Three Journeys and finally, The E…

Hyperventilating......

God is moving here!!!
I can't go into details just yet but please, PLEASE pray for God to be honored in all that we set our hands to and that through it ALL many, many more orphans would be set into their forever families! God has a heart for the orphans and so do we so seeing this all come together is like watching a beautiful masterpiece being created. So excited to see what God has planned!

The Carrot Seed....

Have you ever read this book to your children? It is an oldie but a goody! It was actually wrote in 1945!
Anyhow, as I read this book to the kids this afternoon it really resonated with me. You see, the story is about a little boy who plants one teeny, tiny carrot seed. As he waits in anticipation for the carrot to grow, his family, not seeing anything growing, tells him the carrot seed won't come up. This however does not deter this little boy. Every day he is out there pulling up the weeds and sprinkling the ground with water.  But nothing comes up. The family is quick to remind him yet again that the seed won't come up. The boy stays steadfast and continues weeding and watering the seed. And then one day, the carrot comes up just as the little boy knew it would. The last picture in the book is of this little boy hauling this huge carrot away in his wheelbarrow. LOL!
This story hit me on so many levels and maybe it will be meaningless to you but I thought I'd share it anyw…

Nolan's New Accessory...

For some very odd reason Nolan has decided he likes wearing his sisters' underpants. LOL! But dang gone if he ain't cute!!! :)

I wasn't fast enough with my camera today as Gabriella dressed him up over and over again. At different points he had on a tutu, a wedding veil, several jangly bracelets, and a lace skirt! Shhh....don't tell my big guys  they would not like it one bit that Nolan had on girl stuff. LOL! However, Gabriella and Nolan had a BLAST!
Life is all about livin' and Nolan feels it should be done with pizazz! :)

The Strength of Mercy

I highly, highly recommend this book by Jan Beazely! I could not put it down! Awesome story of how one family's adoption story was used by God to bring about an agency that has helped form countless families through the years.

Here is one of my favorite quotes from the book.....

"So many times we think of "extraordinary" when we think of God. We think that what He does and who He works with always has to be extra-ordinary. We forget He is the God of the ordinary, working quietly behind the scenes - interweaving, entwining our lives with the lives of others as we simply walk in obedience to Him. Then comes the day when our mouths drop open in awe as we see what God was doing behind the curtains of time. And we drop to our knees in utter amazement and humble gratitude to the Lord for using us to impact another person's life in a way we could not have conceived or executed".

Reaching and Stretching....

This is a perfect picture of where we are right now.  I love how God is always there...waiting...for us to just surrender it all to Him. So, we have.... and now we walk hand in hand with the One whom we love and trust with our lives on this newest journey.  We know He has good things in store!!!

The Cry of My Heart...

A prayer to walk in love....

Gabriella showing us how to walk in love with pizazz! LOL!
Father, in Jesus' name, I thank You that the love of God has been poured forth into my heart by the Holy Spirit Who has been given to me. I keep and treasure Your word. The love of and for You, Father, has been perfected and completed in me, and perfect love casts out all fear. Father, I am Your child, and I commit to walk in the God kind of love. I endure long, am patient, and kind. I am never envious and never boil over with jealousy. I am not boastful or vainglorious, and I do not display myself haughtily. I am not rude and unmannerly and I do not act unbecomingly. I do not insist on my own rights or my own way for I am not self-seeking, touchy, fretful or resentful. I take no account of an evil done to me and pay no attention to a suffered wrong. I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but I rejoice when right and truth prevail. I bear up under anything and everything that comes. I …
