Walk Like You Have Somewhere To Go...

I recently read the book "Walk Like You Have Somewhere To Go" by Lucille O'Neal as a book reviewer for Thomas Nelson Publishers. They graciously gave me the book for free to review. Thank You Thomas Nelson!
This book embodies hope in the face of hopelessness. It proves that with God "all things ARE possible". A book that leaves you feeling encouraged and empowered to keep putting one foot in front of the other and never give up.

Lucille O' Neal may be most well known as the mother of Shaq, (Shaquille O'Neal), the NBA superstar but she has so many other facets to her life just as brilliant as that of her shining star son! Here's a woman that has clung desperately to God through the ups and downs of a traumatic childhood, teenage pregnancy, loss, betrayal and rampant alcoholism.  She readily admits that these things kept her mind in a state of "Mental Welfare" and stuck in a state of hopelessness. It wasn't until she was ready to change her thinking and believe God had bigger plans for her life was she able to finally rise above and find God's purpose for her life. I love autobiographies and this one was well wrote and uplifting. I loved watching Lucille grow, change and become stronger throughout the ensuing chapters. A great, encouraging read!!
