Well, I feel stupid...

Sorry everyone but apparently the urgent prayer request below was a hoax. Why in the world anyone would want to start a hoax like that is beyond me. So, for all those that were praying with me, thank you. I know those prayers weren't wasted.  I'm sure God used them in the way they were intended to bring healing, strength and peace to someone desperately in need of it!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!!

Friends, this just came across our church prayer chain. A little 22 month old boy shot himself in the chest with a brad nailer. It went into his heart. He is in critical condition and not doing well. Neither is his mom, please join us in prayer for this boy!

Sneak Peek!

I am SO excited! We are getting closer and closer to the final step....marketing. I'm telling ya this whole process has been God-ordained and covered in His presence every step of the way. That's because it is His book. He wrote it, I was just the one holding the pen.
So in case you are wondering.....here is a brief synopsis of the book.
It takes place in India and the main character is a young orphan girl who gets enslaved in the sex slave industry. One man is willing to sacrifice all to ransom her but is it worth it?

Stay tuned to find out when and where you can get your copy!! :)

My life with R.A.D....

So it's been a while since I've shared our daily life with our RAD kids.  Things were on an upswing.  Life was zipping on by smoothly (well, as smoothly as it can with children with trauma histories!) but this week? SLAM! It's just been little things here and there but today I feel like I've been broadsided by a bus. I'll admit that everyone has been sick with the flu and I haven't had much sleep lately but today just takes the cake for over-the-top behaviors and emotions....theirs and mine! UGH!!! I do believe there is a Spiritual Battle raging in the Heavenlies and I am here to announce that

WE ARE THE VICTORS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUEORS BECAUSE CHRIST LIVES IN US WE WILL NOT GIVE UP, SO GET BEHIND US SATAN!!!!

But me oh my sometimes the flesh gets weak. Sometimes the exhaustion consumes. Sometimes that hopeless feeling seeps in. Sometimes I wonder if I can do it one more day and then I am reminded that when I am weak, Christ is strong. He tells me over and over and…

ONE!!!!!!

Our precious treasure, Samuel Tobias, turned one year old today and we wanted to make sure he was celebrated!!

Unfortunately, he is battling the flu right now and didn't much feel like a celebration. :( He had a very rough night last night and most of the day has had a high fever and wanted nothing more than to have peace and quiet and lots of rest. So we obliged, as much as we could. :) After all, you only turn one once! He had many rousing renditions of the birthday song by an exuberant choir of siblings and ate cake. Nothing sweeter. :)

Our sweet lil man, we can never, ever express in words what you mean to us. You were such a sweet surprise to us and we are so very grateful to be your mommy and daddy! We love you higher than the mountains, deeper than the oceans, more than you will ever know.....

Mmmmm....chocolate...

Gabriella had an appointment with her Endocrinologist today at Hershey Medical Center. So, I loaded up all the little's and off we went. I'm not going to lie, I get serious anxiety thinking of taking Kyalynn with me to the doctors. Don't get me wrong, it's not that she is bad, it's just that she is loud/vocal and she thinks that if a dr. is seeing Gabi then he/she should be checking Kyalynn too. :) She will loudly proclaim "my belly hurts" to anyone with ears within the drs. office. Of course, they all give her that sympathetic look and shoot me the evil eye that I'm not attending to my ailing child. I just have to laugh because I no longer even try to explain it and just tell her to settle down and to hush. Easier said than done with my sweet girl. LOL! BUT, today she only said "my belly hurts" and "I have to PEE" once each. Progress my friends, progress, and I'll take it!! Honestly, I did kind of bribe her that if she was rea…

Do You Know?? Do You Care??

Slavery is alive and thriving all across the globe and yes, even here in America. Men, women and children of all ages forced into exhausting labor, physical abuse and sex trafficking. They NEED us because they have no voice! We MUST change that and allow them to taste that sweet, sweet taste of FREEDOM!! Will you join us this Sunday, March 13th and Fast for Freedom? Better yet, will you join us each and every day in this battle to "set the captives free" through prayer and action?

In Training...

Little Sam loves the dishwasher and every time someone is filling or emptying it he's there. Last night, as Nolan did his job Sam decided to help. He kept pulling out the silverware for Nolan. :) Kyalynn hates when Sam helps her. She's like a little mommy saying "oh Sam. No, no Sam. UGH! Sam, are you done?" LOL! This morning as Connor swept the kitchen floor Sam had to examine the dustpan, the dust and the broom. Much to Connor's delight (as it gave him time to not do his job). This mobile thing Samuel is taking VERY seriously. LOL! He's been eyeing up the steps lately so I'm thinking that's his next endeavor. Oh my goodness we are loving every.single.minute. with this wee one! To think God would so graciously bless our lives with such a precious, determined, spunky treasure full of so much potential....Thank you Lord!!

Our Newest Additions...

When I told my mom we had some new additions to our family she immediately thought I meant children. LOL! Gee, I don't know why. :)
Anyways, no children....not yet. Just 2 baby ducks (Ping and Daisy) and 6 baby chicks (no names yet and 2 have already passed on to the Great Beyond).
They are quite the excitement around here for 4 little ones although Ryan (who sleeps in a bedroom steps away from their temporary home) can't stand all the peeping noises all night. :)
Welcome to the Mountain Top babies.

My Manna For Today....

God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me -  my whole life one long, obedient response. Guide me down the road of your commandments; I love traveling this freeway! Give me a bent for your words of wisdom, and not for piling up loot. Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets, invigorate me on the pilgrim way. Affirm your promises to me -  promises made to all who fear you. Deflect the harsh words of my critics -  but what you say is always so good. See how hungry I am for your counsel; preserve my life through your righteous ways! Psalm 119:33-40 (The Message)

Just Another Friday...

Taking down a dead tree....Nolan said Zachary looked like a cowboy lassoing the tree. LOL!

When the top fell down it put a huge hole in the ground and the sound rumbled the windows. Anxiously watching every second
The girls were interested too....:) Sam and Sierra making friends

A Big Day...

Today was a big day for Kyalynn. She had her first dental cleaning. I am just so proud of this girl! She is beyond precious and I thank God He chose me to be her momma! She did so well considering she has  huge sensory processing issues. I can't imagine having to endure the over the top stimulation of the electric brush and the tooth scaler when even the slightest loud noise can put you over the edge! She was vocal and did try to remove herself from the chair numerous times but I would lay my hand on her chest and tell her she would be fine and just look at those teeth sparkle and she'd settle down for a bit. She was very polite and each time the hygienist would ask her if she could do such and such to her teeth Kyalynn would say very loudly "no thank you!" So cute! She couldn't hack the fluoride treatment and ripped the trays out of her mouth but honestly, I don't blame her. I HATE that too! :)

They gave her a small handheld mirror to look at herself with an…
