What I Cling To...

Beauty will rise from these turbulent years....
Glory will shine from these broken pieces of our hearts....
God is so much bigger than all the wreckage and pain....
I cling to His truth that nothing, nothing!! will be wasted.
He is our Redeemer!! Hallelujah!!

Here's Looking At You Kid....

Fun FYI....

(tinkerlab.com)

Another hot Monday here and so I decided to make a fun water wall for the little's. I actually saw the pin on Pinterest but theirs are pretty elaborate and mine...not so much. I just used plastic bottles (so it's also a green project because you recycle!) screwed them to a tree, cut holes at various places in each bottle and voila! Water wall or tree! LOL! Nolan was my helper boy as I aligned the bottles and ran and got me water to try out each bottle placement. Then I left them at it and they've been happily playing away. Aaahhhh....music to a momma's ears! :) Then I added the exciting element of color. I laid out the food coloring bottles and after a bit of plain color they decided to experiment and were mixing the colors to find....how exciting!!! Red and yellow make ORANGE! LOL!  I wonder how long the fun will last?! Hopefully awhile longer as I'm trying to organize and sort the homeschool room! :)
Just wanted to share in case any of you momma&#…

A Smattering of days....

Summer in full swing:

Water balloon battles....

Star Wars Stratego....

Rides on Big Orange just because daddy's the best!

Celebrating Pap's birthday.....

Swimming...

Playing Sandwich Shop....

They loved it and it kept them busy for quite awhile.  Word is they make the best sandwiches around! :)

Gabriella rocking out 7 chin ups!!  She beat the boys which made her VERY happy! :)

Exploring in the creek....

Enjoying the super slide....  This slide was made from a bowling alley lane floor.  It's on a church picnic grounds and open to the public.  It's extremely fast and it wears out the kids because it's a long hike to the top! LOL!   I brought Zack and Ryan here when they were little.....*sigh*.....:)

Hope your summer is filled with delight!

Trust or Fear??

"If we really knew how much God loves us, there would never be any reason for us to fear what He might allow into our lives. We would have the confidence and the trust to continually abandon our lives into His care because we would know that He loves us, and that He is faithful and trustworthy to take care of us no matter what".

"Trusting God is relying upon Him and His ability to accomplish His Will in our lives, no matter how we feel, what we think, or what the circumstances are. This is the daily picking up of our crosses (Matthew 16:24) and doing what He has asked - whether we feel like it or not! This is probably the hardest part of loving God because we must do in action what God has asked, regardless of how we feel and what we think".

Quotes from ~The Way of Agape by Nancy Missler~
Where do you live? Trust or Fear?? A month ago I would have adamantly said Trust but God is showing me lately that's not true. Fear dominates my mind more than trust!

Run Like the Wind Bullseye....

This is a favorite saying of ours around here when the little's are running around. So, it just felt like the right title to talk about my running adventures. LOL! I am so stoked that I am up to running 5 miles all.at.once. now. :) I started running in April right after Ryan left for B**tcamp. I love running. I really look forward to my runs and the fact that  I am bettering myself. Before we left for Oklahoma, I was getting up at 6 am to run, that way the little ones were still asleep and not hounding me as I ran. :) But our trip to Oklahoma took alot out of me and it's taken me quite awhile to get back into my rhythm.
This is my "track". I'm a trail runner so this is perfect for me! I run this loop over and over again to log my miles. Honestly, mostly I'm thankful that I can run everyday here in my front yard, not far from my family but sometimes the sameness wears on me. BUT, this is where I'm at right now and I'm great with that. Eventually, my …

Almost Home...

We stopped for lunch at S*nic. This is Samuel helping daddy order. LOL!

He's very proud of himself! :)

The many faces of Samuel T.....

The wall inside the visitors center. How cool is that?!

And just so you know we are really real and life is not always smiles and a bowl of cherries....

Gabriella posing with the arch. LOL!

Samuel taking over. He was ready to get home. LOL!

Awwww, just because he is the BEST daddy in the universe!

Coming Home...

We visited an awesome Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. It was so beautiful!

Going into the visitors center....how cool look at those bird nests!

Longhorn cattle grazed within feet of us.

A tarantula crossed the road. It doesn't look it here but it was so huge that we could see a black spot moving across the road before we were even close! Now that's one BIG spider. EEEK! LOL!

This guy came right up to the cars. He was rather large and Sean told me to get out of the car and get a good picture of him. He was behind our vehicle and so I hesitantly opened the door and maneuvered into a position when he came towards me! I moved faster than greased lightning back into the truck and screamed "drive, drive, drive" but Sean said it would be fine....and it was. LOL! But still my babies were in the truck.....:)

Here's his herd of ladies he was protecting from the curious onlookers.

This place was called the "Holy City". It was interesting. It held an Easter Passion Play f…
