Just look at all these birthday blessings.....who needs presents? LOL!
The little's worked hard all week creating and re-creating a truckload of cards for Sean. :) Not sure where they all went but it's the thought that counts, right? First time I've ever made Red Velvet Cake and I hear it was pretty yummy. I didn't taste it because I couldn't convince my brain to eat that bright red colored cake. LOL! Happy, happy birthday my love! We love you with all our hearts!!
Our Samuel T. loves a good mess. In fact, he must think I love me some mess too because he's always creating them for me! LOL! The boy can walk into a CLEAN room and in less than 30 seconds wreak major havoc! :) He is ALL boy and I adore every square inch of him!! Here Samuel decided to get into the cream and put a thick layer in his hair for extra conditioning. This is E*cerin cream, very thick and lasts awhile on the skin, has done wonders for his eczema but his hair...not so much. :) This was his "busy work" while I was in the other room doing schooling with the kids. HA! As I was cleaning up this mess off the sofa he was busy in the kitchen pulling out my cookie sheets...BANG! CRASH! SMASH! and giggling the whole time. The last couple of days he's been quiet and just lying around due to the flu and I gotta tell ya, it's just not the same around here. Give me my mess-making, noise-creating, ALL-boy boy any day! :) We LOVE our Samuel T!
I LOVE blogging! I've been blessed with getting to know so many wonderful people! A recent friendship has been with Jenny at Around every corner we've chatted thru email and over the phone. She has great knowledge and I get to be the beneficiary of that. God is soooo good! Anyhow, she has written a wonderful children's book called Monsters, Monsters, Monsters! It is very good! It deals with bullying and how God is our ultimate protector. Her recent post allows you to get to know her better and her heart. Please stop by, say hi and get her book. You won't be sorry!! :)
I am excited to share that I've begun the second installment in my "Ransomed Series". Several months back I had outlined for this newest book but then got sidetracked and threw the outline/ideas away. So when I felt God gently leading me to begin again I couldn't get a good working plot and became discouraged and beyond frustrated. It just wasn't working. I knew I was to write but wasn't able to be excited about any of my ideas and then my amazing husband came to the rescue! He remembered the previous outline and ideas and when he told me them I was so excited. It's a good story and I'm ready to share it. :) So....I am working on it and would sincerely appreciate your prayers that the words I write would be just the words someone needs to read..... That God would use my pithy words to turn someone's heart back to Him....That the words would open eyes to the life of orphans around the world and what we can do, everyone of us, to help.
Nolan has the biggest, most beautifully expressive eyes and Samuel? He has the most amazing smile! I mean when this boy smiles at you you just have to smile back. LOL! And his laugh....absolutely PRICELESS! You should hear him as he is sledding down the hill with his siblings. Music to my ears....:)
Thanking God again today for the blessing of my beautiful children!
