Love...

Facebook and blogging...

Hey friends I am so sorry I was non-existent there for a bit.  I actually was hit with the flu bug a second time about 3 days after I thought I was on the upswing. The second time was worse with me losing my voice for several days and my throat was very sore for way too long! However, I do believe I am over all that now and am so ready to tie on my running shoes and go. BUT it keeps snowing here! UGH! Spring, spring, wherefore art thou oh spring?? :)

Now about f*cebook....it is just so much easier for me to jump on there and  post a quick sentence or two and then I forget I didn't blog about any of it here which means, I will not remember any of it. LOL! This blog helps me to remember all that I forget month to month, year to year. So....trying to get back into the swing of it.

Some of the bullet points are that Kyalynn learned how to do addition with regrouping and is doing so great with it. Today, we worked on subtraction with borrowing. By the time we were done she had it down …

2 Lifetimes...

Valentine's Day was wonderful....roses and chocolates from Sean, beautiful handmade cards made by little hands for one another and more chocolate. As I was eating my lunch I was pondering my life and God whispered to my heart "2 lifetimes in 1" and I wasn't sure what He meant. Then it became clear and I wept into my soup. I am so richly blessed! Most people have their children and you know how life progresses and the children grow and empty nest descends. With us, we've already raised 2 sons and they are grown and flown and we basically started all over again with this next group. It's like having 2 lifetimes consolidated into one! Yes some days are HARD. Yes some days it feels like I've been doing this FOREVER. And yet, I wouldn't change a thing. Not one thing. No, not even the diagnoses, the on going life with a traumatized child, the chaos. Yes, I just said that. I can't believe I said that! LOL! But honestly, I LOVE my life. Every.single.inch…

Back into the swing of things...

The day before the big sickness hit we took the little's ice skating at a local lake. Well, they just wore their boots but to them it was ice skating. LOL! The lake was crowded with others playing ice hockey (with goals and curbs and everything!) and ice skaters, ice fishermen, and even dads pushing their kids on an aluminium leg chair across the lake. :) Our kids had fun but something was "off" with them which of course now I know it was the flu catching up to them! :(

The next morning I had 4 out of 5 with fevers and yuck! The fevers were way too high for my nerves (we had 1 hit 105+!) It wasn't long before the living room became our sick bay. Kyalynn came late to the party and it didn't hit her hard until Wednesday am but it knocked the wind out of her sails! We are all on the mend, Thank God! but it was a v-e-r-y long week. We still have the coughing, runny nose and sinus headache and poor Sammy T. has spent more time sleeping than ever but at least we are g…
