So funny...

So we've decided to make Kyalynn Gluten-Free again.  It's been quite a long while she hasn't been and it's been so good but lately I'm seeing the behaviors and lack of words resurfacing so it's time to clean her system out again. :(  Anyhow, I haven't gotten all my ducks in a row yet with gluten free bread, foods, etc.  so this morning she asks for toast with jelly but I didn't have gf bread made yet  so I told her no you can have a smoothie (that's my word for green juice with a bit of fruit thrown in!) instead. So she proceeds to say "no smoothie" "uh-ah" "no thank you" over and over and over again as I put it together.  Then I sit her glass on the table and she says "no smoothie"  "no breakfast" and clamps her lips shut. LOL!  So I just put up my 3 fingers and count down silently (as she counts down out loud)  and at 1 she puts the straw in her mouth  the whole time shaking her head and letting her disgust …

Another Mountaintop first...

I have the best friends in the world! What's even better is that they are my family.  We decided to do our own backyard carnival and it was a blast! The kids can't stop talking about it and thanking us for it and  that's the best feeling of all! :) Just look at those excited faces....

Excitement at popping the balloons....

The most favorite game of all was knocking over the cans....

Kyalynn showing her American Pride....

We had a small prize table with things from the Doll*r Store and a snack table with cotton candy, popcorn, and animal cookies.
It was a hit and they are already asking to do it again next year.  Ok, ok, Kyalynn is asking to do it again next week...LOL!  It was very little cost but a whole LOT of fun for all of us.

My Creative One...

Miss G is so creative.

She is always coloring, drawing, painting, crafting with play-doh, or making mud pies.

Today she made clover jewelry.  Do you see her ring, bracelet, necklace and tiara??   When I told her I was going to have to take her picture and put it on the blog she was giddy. LOL!
P.S.  Notice her missing two front teeth? Such a beautiful smile!!

Living the Secret....

"My gracious Father created for me a home with adoring children and began a rapidly growing ministry helping His people. While my hands had done some of the physical work involved in these endeavors, I actually accomplished none of it.  People often asked me then as they do now, "How do you do it?" The answer has never changed and it is so simple: I don't.  It's just a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus.  This plan, these "accomplishments," they are so not my own.  I am dependent.  Powerless.  Weak.  Drowning.  While those adjectives may sound scary, they put me in a beautiful place, a place where I couldn't go one minute without crying out to my Father or I would sink.
I remember being so grateful for that place and I still am.  Paul says in his letter to the Phillippians that he "knows the secret."  He has been well fed and he has been starving; he has lived in abundance and he has lived with nothing.  His revelation?  That he could do a…

Sunshine....

My favorite place on earth....next to my home of course! My wonderful man allowed me the opportunity to attend a Women of Joy conference in Myrtle Beach and then I spent 1 1/2 days enjoying the beach! I have never, ever been away from my little's more than 2 days so this was a big deal for me and for my precious husband! :) He did wonderfully even considering he had 1 with strep throat and another child pretty sick. I sooooooo needed some time away to refresh and refocus on this call of motherhood.

Nolan fixing his tractor. So cute!!

We put them to work early around here. LOL! Sammy T. "mowing" the grass.

Kyalynn, my Renaissance Woman in the making. LOL!  She's reading the classics and singing hymns, two of her favorite things to do.

Gabriella full of life and joy!

Look closely...do you see Nolan climbing the tree? He sets my nerves on end when  he attempts to scale the tree the whole way to the top! :)

Me and my peeps.... with my parents enjoying a picnic and hike i…
