24 Years...

It's hard to believe that today marks Sean and I's 24th Anniversary! I just don't feel that old. LOL! But then again, we did start young...very young. I was a tender 17 and Sean was 20 when we committed our hearts and souls to one another. BEST decision I've ever made next to my salvation!! This man...where do I even begin??  He has been my best friend for 27 years. We've weathered many storms side by side and there is no other place I'd want to be. He is strong, solid, loyal, quiet, fiercely committed to God and us (in that order!) and although he isn't a funny guy our kids think he is hysterical! LOL! He is the absolute BEST FATHER EVER and I don't say that lightly.  Here's to the long talks, the hilarious ideas you've allowed me to pull off (birthday, anniversary and just because parties spur of the moment), big dreams, laughter and tears, and most important....7 amazing, God-given treasures that fill our days to overflowing. Thank you Sean fo…

The Fabulous 50's....

Always up for a party we decided to host a 50's theme party. My mom had decorations from a past 50's party she had held many years before so we utilized them and it looked great! Of course we had to dress the part and the kids looked Fifty-tabulous! :) We ate, danced and had a great time. The extra sweet blessing was having our friend Terri here. She is in a battle for her life...literally...as she fights ovarian and stomach cancer. She looked terrific and we were able to get a couple of good pictures of her and her hubby together using our 50's backdrop. Then we were able to gather everyone around the computer and skype with our son in Korea. It was a great evening!! :)

How low can you go??

Broken...:(

We've had a trampoline for 15+ years.... We have 7 children... We've had many, many other children on our trampoline thru the years.... but this boy is the first child to ever be injured on the trampoline!
Well....almost on the trampoline....let me explain....LOL! So a couple of weeks ago as I was cooking dinner I heard a commotion from outside which signaled "TROUBLE".  LOL! As I appeared on the scene there was Nolan rubbing his jaw and Samuel picking himself off the ground. The other children gave me the "scoop". Nolan was coming off the trampoline, Samuel was coming up the steps and didn't want Nolan to get off and he began pushing Nolan. They were on the steps of the trampoline and they went off the side. Apparently, Sam's collarbone broke his fall. :) However, we thought he just had a sore shoulder. Bless his little heart. He wouldn't use his arm and had a rough night so the next morning I took him to the doctor. The Dr. thought he had a nursema…
